Abstract

This study's overarching goal is to clarify the connection between building information modeling (BIM) and virtual design and construction (VDC). More specifically, it aims to determine the pros and cons of a methodology that combines 4D BIM with VDC, specifically how it affects schedule preparation, project planning, and construction simulation. An analysis of the "Pharmacists Syndicate building - Tartous branch" case study is presented in the research. The building model (3D BIM) was developed in Autodesk Revit 2020 ®. The model clash was identified, examined, and resolved. The quantities were computed using Autodesk Navisworks Manage 2020 ®. The time periods for each activity were estimated based on the quantities, workshop performance rates, and teams.
