This literature review assesses three seminal articles that have had a significant influence on the field of evolutionary computing. Notable contributions to the field include "An Introduction to Genetic Algorithms" by Mitchell (1998, MIT Press), "Handbook of Genetic Algorithms" by Davis (1991, Van Nostrand Reinhold), and "Genetic Algorithms: Key works like "Principles and Perspectives"" by Reeves and Rowe (2002), published by Springer Science & Business Media. So, the notions, theory, and practice that form the basis of these pioneer works will be investigated in this research. Melanie Mitchell's 1998 MIT Press essay "An introduction to genetic algorithms" provides a thorough overview of Genetic Algorithms (GAs), which are the subject of this research. Natural selection and genetic processes are the basis of GAs, which have been proposed as an interesting computer model. In genetic algorithm design, Mitchell claims that the fundamental concepts comprise a selection mechanism,
